When I'm asked to provide a bio on a webpage, in an interview, for a new publisher, etc., I always think back to everything I've written so I can steal from it. I'll have so many tabs open while I compare, it can get a little crazy. The sad thing is, the best bio I wrote, the one I'd choose to use over and over again . . . I can't remember where it is. I can't find myself. Ironic.
This single question is coming up so often now, I don't know where to start. Where do you start? What tone should you use? Me, I'm a little playful by nature so I tend to make light, self-deprecating replies. Is that wrong? I don't know. My guess is that a writer's personality should come out a little. It isn't always what you say, but rather how you say it that gives people a true insight into your nature, your passions. I take my writing seriously, not myself.
